The Siemens FS-DP (part# 575-699481) is an addressable photoelectric smoke detector for the FireSeeker FS-100 panel. It offers programmable analog sensitivity, set and adjusted from the FS-100 control unit. As a result, alarm thresholds can be tuned permanently or on a time-variable schedule.
Each detector takes one address between 01 and 60 on the FS-100 addressable device circuit. First, the address is programmed into the head with the FS-DPI Device Programmer Unit. Then the control unit scans the detector continuously and reads its sensor status. The detector itself determines normal, trouble, pre-alarm, or alarm conditions. Finally, it relays that status back to the panel.
Siemens FS-DP status LEDs and bases
Integral LEDs make status checks simple. Specifically, the green LEDs flash each time the panel scans the detector. In alarm, the red LEDs flash at a faster rate instead.
The FS-DP head requires a compatible base. Use the DB-11 standard base, the ADBX-11 audible base, or the DBX-11RS relay base. Alternatively, mount it in an AD-11P or ADX-11PR air duct housing for duct applications. For circuit protection, LIM-1 line isolator modules support up to 20 devices each.
