The Gamewell ACT-1 is the audio coupling transformer for Gamewell-FCI E3 Series voice evacuation. Specifically, the ACT-1 is required to couple analog audio from an INI-VGE Voice Gateway to bulk amplifiers. As a result, voice paging and emergency evacuation audio reach the building’s speaker network cleanly. In addition, the transformer provides the electrical isolation needed between the gateway and downstream amplifiers.
When the Gamewell ACT-1 is required
The ACT-1 ships in any Gamewell-FCI Command Center Classic voice path that uses the INI-VGE. First, the INI-VGE generates the analog VGE audio stream. Then the ACT-1 couples that audio into the bulk-amplifier input. Therefore, without the ACT-1, the INI-VGE cannot deliver supervised audio to the system’s amplifiers. Furthermore, the INI-VGE drives up to 16 AOM-2SF audio output modules in an E3 Series system.
Compatibility
Use the ACT-1 with Gamewell-FCI E3 Series control panels equipped with the INI-VGE Classic Voice Gateway. Also, the ACT-1 belongs to the same family as the FVIV-ZS speaker-circuit splitter for voice evacuation buildouts.
