The Edwards GSA-SDPCB is the replacement printed circuit board and Signature Series sensor kit for the SuperDuct GSA-SD intelligent duct smoke detector. Specifically, it is the manufacturer-defined field-service replacement for the photoelectric sensor and PCB inside an installed SuperDuct housing.
First, the SuperDuct duct smoke detector samples HVAC duct airflow for combustion products. Then its Signature Series intelligent photoelectric sensor converts the analog signal to digital data. As a result, the panel can detect smoke in the supply or return air before it circulates through the building. When the sensor or PCB needs replacement, the GSA-SDPCB kit provides a clean drop-in service path.
Verified specifications (per Edwards SuperDuct Data Sheet 85001-0584 Issue 4)
- Sensor type: Signature Series intelligent photoelectric
- Operating voltage: 15.2 to 19.95 VDC (Signature Loop voltage, not 24 VDC)

- Operating temperature: -20 to 158 °F (-29 to 70 °C)
- Smoke sensitivity range: 0.79 to 2.46 percent obscuration per foot
- Environmental compensation with differential sensing
- Dirty-sensor warning and trouble-condition reporting
- Shipping weight: 1.0 lb (0.5 kg) for the GSA-SDPCB kit
What’s in the kit
- Replacement Signature Series photoelectric sensor
- Replacement PCB for the SuperDuct housing
What this is NOT
- Not a complete duct smoke detector — this is a service-replacement kit for an existing SuperDuct installation. For a new install, order the complete GSA-SD (or SIGA-SD) assembly.
- Not compatible with non-Signature panels — the photoelectric sensor in this kit is Signature Series intelligent. It requires a Signature Loop Controller. It will not work on conventional 2-wire or other addressable protocols.
- Not the sampling tube — the SuperDuct sampling tube is ordered separately based on duct width.
Installation
Field replacement should be performed during a system maintenance window. Furthermore, the host SuperDuct housing must be opened, the existing PCB and sensor removed, and the replacement components installed per the SuperDuct maintenance procedure. Finally, the device address must be verified at the panel and the detector should be retested per NFPA 72 inspection and testing requirements.
