The Johnson Controls 2951J is an intelligent, plug-in photoelectric smoke detector with integral communication that connects directly to compatible Johnson Controls fire alarm control panels. The 2951J uses a unique optical sensing chamber engineered to detect smoke from a wide range of combustion sources. Detector sensitivity is programmable in the control panel software, eliminating manual sensitivity adjustments. The panel continuously monitors each 2951J detector’s sensitivity and generates a trouble condition when chamber contamination reaches an unacceptable threshold, providing selective maintenance direction to the exact detector location that requires service.

Point ID capability allows each 2951J detector’s address to be set with decade address switches, providing a unique, exact address on the signaling line circuit. This reconditioned 2951J detector ships with a one-year warranty and has been restored to proper working condition prior to sale.
