The Kidde V-SLC2-1 is an expansion loop controller for the Kidde VS4 fire alarm panel. It adds one addressable Signature loop. Specifically, that loop supports up to 250 intelligent devices. As a result, large systems gain device capacity without a second panel.

The VS4 panel has room for up to two loop controller modules. Therefore, you can build out the system in stages. This single-loop module carries one 250-device Signature loop. In addition, it connects intelligent detectors and modules on the same circuit. Each device reports its own address for precise location.
Where the V-SLC2-1 fits
Installers add this module when a VS4 system outgrows its first loop. However, it works only with the Kidde VS4 platform. The controller is part of a UL 864 listed fire alarm system.
