KIDDE (VS4-R) Four loop system with one 250-point loop

The Kidde VS4-R is a four-loop-capable intelligent addressable fire alarm control panel with a red door. It serves mid-size to large commercial buildings on the Signature Series platform.

Specifically, the VS4 ships with one standard 250-point loop on the main board. As a result, the base panel addresses 125 detectors plus 125 modules out of the box. Furthermore, two expansion slots accept additional loop cards in any combination.

For more loops, add a V-SLC2-1 single-loop card for one additional 250-point loop. Alternatively, add a V-SLC2-2 dual-loop card for two additional 250-point loops. As a result, the fully populated VS4 supports four loops and 1,000 addressable points.

Communication Options

First, the SA-ETH Ethernet card supports remote diagnostics and programming. Then, the SA-DACT card adds dual-line DACT/dialer reporting. Also, the SA-232 card provides an RS-232 serial port for printers or third-party equipment.
