The Potter Electric Signal LFSBBB-W is the back box for the PAD100-LFSB Addressable Low Frequency Sounder Base. First, the back box provides a mounting surface when no electrical box is available. As a result, installers can wall- or ceiling-mount the sounder base on bare surfaces. Furthermore, the LFSBBB-W is finished in white to match the eggshell PAD100-LFSB.
Potter Electric Signal LFSBBB-W mounting role
The PAD100-LFSB sounder base supports two mounting paths. First, it can mount directly on a 4″ x 2-1/8″ deep square electrical box. Alternatively, it can mount on the LFSBBB-W back box where no box exists. Specifically, the back box accepts the same mounting bracket and screws as the electrical-box install.
Furthermore, four screws are provided in the install kit. Specifically, two screws secure the speaker to the back box. In addition, the remaining two screws are aesthetic and held by faceplate pressure fit.
Companion sounder base context
The PAD100-LFSB is an addressable low-frequency sounder base. Specifically, it produces 520 Hz square-wave tones to meet NFPA 72 sleeping-space audibility for hearing-loss occupants. In addition, the sounder base complies with UL 464 for audible signaling devices. Therefore, the LFSBBB-W is the companion mounting hardware for that NFPA 72 / UL 464 system.

Ordering notes
Order the LFSBBB-W only when an electrical back box is not pre-installed. However, if the install location already has a 4″ x 2-1/8″ deep square box, the PAD100-LFSB mounts directly without the LFSBBB-W. Therefore, confirm the install conditions before ordering.
