The POTTER LFH-24R is a red 520 Hz low frequency horn for fire alarm systems. First, it produces a 520 Hz square-wave tone in a temporal three pattern. This low-frequency output helps wake sleeping occupants. Therefore, it suits the NFPA 72 low-frequency signaling requirement for sleeping areas. The LFH-24R is an audible sounder only, without a strobe.
Output and Wiring of the POTTER LFH-24R
The horn reaches a peak output of 88.3 dBA in an anechoic chamber. In addition, a jumper selects either a normal or a louder tone. The unit accepts 16 to 33 volts, using DC or full-wave-rectified power at 24 VDC. Also, a temporal four pattern is available with the Potter GTSM synchronization module. As a result, installers can match site sync and tone needs.
Mounting and Listings
The LFH-24R ships with a universal 4-inch metal mounting bracket. Specifically, its Super-Slide feature lets installers pre-wire and test for supervision. Finally, the appliance is listed to ANSI/UL 464 and CAN/ULC S525 for fire signaling.
