The RSG SP-1-LP is a single-pole SP Series pull station factory-configured with a lift-and-pull cover. Specifically, the LP suffix adds a hinged guard to deter accidental activation. Furthermore, the SP-1 base uses a normally-open toggle switch.
First, the user lifts the protective cover up. Then, the user pulls the toggle lever down to initiate an alarm. As a result, the dual-motion activation discourages bumps, brooms, and casual mischief while remaining single-handed for real emergencies.
RSG SP-1-LP Option Detail
The LP (lift-and-pull cover) suits public corridors, schools, and any site that has logged nuisance activations. Furthermore, the cover reduces accidental trips without slowing legitimate use. As a result, the configuration is a common AHJ-acceptance upgrade on retrofit projects.
