Sentry (ST-BKP01) Pull Station Cover Backplate

The Sentry (ST-BKP01) is the Backplate Kit for SENTRY manual pull station covers. It allows the cover to be mounted to a rough surface where a flat wallboard install is not possible.

Common rough surfaces include concrete block, brick, cinder block, and uneven masonry. As a result, the backplate gives the SENTRY cover a flat, square mounting plane on otherwise irregular walls. Therefore, the cover seats correctly and the hinge works as intended.

What’s in the Sentry (ST-BKP01) Kit

• One plastic backplate
• Two #10 type A, 1″ Phillips round-head screws
• Two wall anchors for the screws

Compatibility

The ST-BKP01 is designed to pair with the SigCom Sentry ST-FRC01 front cover. In addition, it works with the ST-XTR01 extender kit and the ST-WPK01 weatherproofing kit. For an outdoor weatherproof installation on rough surfaces, all four kits are typically combined.

When to Add a Backplate

Order the ST-BKP01 alongside the ST-FRC01 front cover whenever the install surface is not smooth wallboard. For example, schools with painted concrete-block hallways often require the backplate. Outdoor weather installations also use it as a flat seat for the gasket.
