Siemens (DB-11E) Detector Mounting Base, 500-094151E

The Siemens DB-11E is an enhanced detector mounting base for the Siemens 11-series detector head family. Its factory part number is 500-094151E.

What the Siemens DB-11E Provides

First, the base provides the mechanical mount and electrical connection for an 11-series detector head. Then, the enhanced (“E”) variant adds connection points for remote LED indication. As a result, the installer can drive a remote alarm indicator from a hidden or ceiling-located head.

In addition, the DB-11E mounts to a standard 4-inch electrical junction box. Therefore, retrofit and new-construction installations follow the same mounting convention.

Detector Head and Panel Compatibility

The DB-11E accepts Siemens 11-series detector heads such as the OSI-11, DH-11, and HI-11. However, panel compatibility is platform-specific — the 11-series family was developed for the Siemens MXL and MXLV addressable platforms, not for the Sinteso or Cerberus PRO platforms.

Specifically, do not assume drop-in compatibility with FireFinder XLS or Sinteso panels. Therefore, always confirm the existing panel platform and the detector head model against current Siemens compatibility documentation before ordering.

Cross-Reference

The DB-11E supersedes earlier non-enhanced DB-11 base variants for installations that require the remote-LED connection. Also, verify the existing base part marking before ordering as a like-for-like swap.
