Siemens FDBZ-WT Watertight Enclosure for Duct Detectors
The Siemens FDBZ-WT is a watertight enclosure for Siemens FDBZ492-series duct smoke detector housings. Specifically, it is a separate NEMA 4X enclosure built from reinforced stainless steel. As a result, it protects a duct housing in wet or outdoor locations.
Standard duct housings are not built for harsh, exposed spaces. However, rooftop units and outdoor air handlers still need protection. Therefore, the FDBZ-WT lets the duct housing mount inside a sealed, watertight shell. In addition, it suits any area where excessive moisture is common.
Siemens FDBZ-WT Compatibility
The FDBZ-WT accepts the full FDBZ492-series of duct housings. Specifically, it fits the FDBZ492, FDBZ492-HR, FDBZ492-R, and FDBZ492-RP. Also, the enclosure part number is S54319-B26-A1. Finally, the duct housing and detector are ordered separately.
