The Siemens MSM-KD-WP is a metal, weatherproof manual fire alarm station with a keyed reset. It is built for outdoor and harsh indoor locations. This model uses a double-action mechanism. First a user pushes in, then pulls the lever to signal an alarm.
The double-action design helps prevent accidental activation. In addition, the rugged die-cast metal housing resists corrosion on every surface. The weatherproof version ships complete with its backbox. Each station also includes two reset keys.
Siemens MSM-KD-WP switching and compatibility
Inside, the MSM-KD-WP uses a single-pole, single-throw (SPST) switch rated at 10 amps at 120 VAC. All wiring connects to a terminal block. By default, the station works with Siemens conventional fire alarm zones. However, it also supports addressable systems through a Siemens TRI-series addressable module.
Listings, dimensions, and applications
The MSM-KD-WP is UL and ULC Listed, plus CSFM and USCG approved. As a result, it suits marine and other demanding environments. The weatherproof station measures 3.20 in. wide, 4.75 in. high, and 2.75 in. deep. Typical sites include parking structures, industrial plants, and exterior exits.
