Siemens (PSC-12M) Main Power Supply Charger S54430-C26-A1
The Siemens (PSC-12M) is the main power supply and battery charger for the Desigo Fire Safety Modular panel. It delivers regulated 24VDC power at 12 amps in Alarm mode. In Standby, it supplies 5 amps.
The PSC-12M is an addressable, microprocessor-controlled power module. It reports its status to the Desigo Modular Operator Interface, Model FCM2041-U2. In addition, the OI can query the supply directly. That query returns charging current, terminal loading, ground-fault conditions, and more.
Universal AC Input
The PSC-12M accepts AC input from 120VAC to 240VAC at 50/60Hz. No special configuration is required. Furthermore, a 60-pin connector links the charger to other system cards and modules. The unit provides two connection points for this power/data bus.
Power Outputs and Protection
Each PSC-12M provides 12 amps of system power at 24VDC. Two separate output terminals are available. First, a power-limited terminal supplies up to 4A at 24VDC. Second, a non-power-limited terminal supplies up to 12A at 24VDC. However, the combined total must not exceed 12A. Both outputs include auto-resettable protection against overloads and short circuits.
Battery Charging Up to 100AH
During a power failure, backup batteries carry the system. When AC power is active, the PSC-12M charges batteries up to 15AH, 31AH, 75AH, or 100AH. Battery sizes are entered in the Zeus-D configuration tool. The charger then manages three modes automatically: Bulk Charge, Trickle Charge, and Float. As a result, it monitors battery condition and selects the right mode on its own.
