The Simplex 2190-9169 is a surface-mount isolator module for MAPNET II systems. It protects the addressable communication loop from wiring short circuits. As a result, a single fault cannot disable the whole circuit.
This module installs on Simplex MAPNET II signaling line circuits (SLC). First, it senses a short on the loop. Then it isolates the affected segment. Therefore, the rest of the devices keep communicating with the panel.
