The Simplex 4009-9202CA is an IDNet NAC Extender for Control. It expands notification appliance circuit capacity for Simplex addressable fire alarm systems and is ULC listed for Canadian installations.
First, the unit accepts 120 VAC input at 3 A, 60 Hz. Then it delivers up to 8 A of 24 VDC notification appliance power. In addition, the on-board IDNet slave interface ties the extender into the host panel’s addressable channel. As a result, panels gain NAC capacity without adding a separate power supply chassis.
The base 4009-9202CA includes four Class B NACs, a power supply, a battery charger, and two conventional NAC inputs for hardwired control. Therefore, an upstream NAC can drive these outputs even without IDNet addressing. Furthermore, the unit can scale up to eight supervised reverse-polarity NACs.
