The Simplex 4906-9101 is a non-addressable wall-mount strobe. It belongs to the TrueAlert multi-candela notification line. The housing is red, with white “FIRE” lettering and a clear lens.
First, mount the appliance to a standard single-gang, double-gang, or 4 in square electrical box. Then, set the candela rating with the jumper plug inside the housing. Specifically, you can choose 15, 30, 75, or 110 cd. As a result, one part number covers most common room sizes.
Why Choose the Simplex 4906-9101
A yellow flag with black lettering shows the selected candela rating. Therefore, inspectors can verify the setting from the side of the lens — no cover removal needed. In addition, the cover can be swapped to change color without replacing the entire appliance.
The strobe operates over Simplex SmartSync two-wire NAC control. As a result, up to 35 synchronized strobes can sit on a single NAC at 1 Hz flash. Therefore, the appliance meets NFPA 72 strobe synchronization requirements within a common field of view.
