The Simplex 4906-9151 is a multi-tapped speaker with a synchronized multi-candela strobe. First, it combines audio output with a high-intensity xenon strobe. As a result, it delivers both audible and visual fire notification from one red appliance.
The housing is red with contrasting white "FIRE" lettering. In addition, it is molded from flame-retardant thermoplastic with a clear lens. Therefore, it is both durable and highly visible.
Simplex 4906-9151 Speaker and Strobe Ratings
The speaker operates at 25 or 70.7 VRMS. Furthermore, it is field-tapped at 1/4, 1/2, 1, and 2 watts. As a result, you can match sound output to the space.
The strobe intensity is field-selectable at 15, 30, 75, or 110 candela. In addition, the strobe and speaker are wired separately. Specifically, the strobe flashes at a synchronized 1 Hz rate.
Installation and Listings
The 4906-9151 mounts to a 4-inch square electrical box with an extension. The enclosure is also impact and vandal resistant. In addition, the device carries UL and ULC listings for fire notification appliances.
