Silent Knight (SK-MON-10) 10 input monitor module

The Silent Knight SK-MON-10 is an intelligent ten-input monitor module for addressable fire alarm systems. It connects a fire alarm control panel to normally open contact devices. Therefore, one module can supervise up to ten initiating circuits. As a result, installers save panel addresses and reduce wiring runs. The SK-MON-10 works with Honeywell Silent Knight addressable control panels.

What the Silent Knight SK-MON-10 Monitors

Each input interfaces with dry-contact initiating devices. For example, it monitors waterflow switches, pull stations, and sprinkler tamper switches. In addition, the module can supervise conventional 4-wire smoke detectors. All ten inputs share one SLC connection. They also share a common supervisory supply and ground. However, each input operates independently. Furthermore, each input carries its own address.

Wiring and Installation

First, set the module address with the rotary switches. This step speeds up installation. Then wire the inputs as Class B or Class A. The module supports ten Class B circuits or five Class A circuits. In addition, removable 18 AWG plug-in terminal blocks simplify wiring. An LED indicator marks each input for fast troubleshooting. You can also disable any unused addresses.
