The System Sensor SMB500 is an ivory surface-mount box for System Sensor modules. It mounts modules on a wall surface when flush mounting is not possible. As a result, it supports installations on solid or finished walls.
The box works with compatible System Sensor module products. For example, it can house an interface or control module behind its cover plate. Therefore, it gives modules a clean, surface-mounted enclosure.
System Sensor SMB500 Installation
First, the box fastens to the wall with the included screws and anchors. Alternatively, it can attach to a junction box. Then the module is wired and assembled to the box.
Finally, the cover plate fastens to the module. In addition, the box provides drill centers for surface conduit entry. For UL installations with multiple conduit entries, add the specified grounding bushings.
