Siemens ST-MC-RETRO-R Multi-Candela Strobe Plate
The Siemens ST-MC-RETRO-R is a red multi-candela retrofit strobe plate for fire alarm systems. Specifically, “RETRO” means it retrofits onto an existing appliance or back box. As a result, it adds a code-required wall strobe without a full replacement.
This plate uses the same strobe circuitry as the standard ST series. Therefore, it delivers reliable visual notification in commercial buildings. In addition, the red housing displays “FIRE” on the faceplate.

The Siemens ST-MC-RETRO-R uses part number 500-636103. First, the wall candela is field-selectable at 15, 30, 75, and 110 cd. Then, a tamper-resistant switch sets the candela. Furthermore, it operates from 16 to 33 VDC and flashes once per second. A Xenon flashtube sits behind a Lexan lens.
