STI (EFSPBKT) Swing Panel Bracket Kit

The STI EFSPBKT swing panel bracket kit lets a back panel hinge out of an STI EnviroArmour fiberglass enclosure for full service access. First, install the bracket kit on the enclosure’s interior corner posts. Then mount the back panel to the swing hinges. As a result, technicians swing the panel forward to reach the enclosure’s rear wall, the back of the mounted equipment, and any field-wiring runs.

What EFSPBKT is built for

STI EnviroArmour fiberglass enclosures protect fire alarm control panels and remote annunciators from weather, vandalism, dust, and impact. However, when the rear of the panel needs service access — for field-terminations, battery swaps, or wiring inspection — a fixed back panel forces removal of the entire enclosure contents. Therefore, the EFSPBKT replaces the fixed brackets with hinged brackets so the back panel pivots away from the enclosure wall.

However, when the panel mounts in a fixed position and rear access is not required, the simpler EFAPBKT stationary bracket is the lower-cost choice. Furthermore, for STI polycarbonate enclosures (EP-prefix), the equivalent swing-panel bracket is the EPSPBKT — not the EFSPBKT.

Application context

Use the EFSPBKT in installations where a single enclosure houses field-wiring terminations behind the back panel. In addition, specify it when stacking two or more back panels and the rear panel still needs to be reachable. As a result, the EFSPBKT is most often ordered alongside one or more BPF-series back panels and a corner post kit.
