The STI EM362408A is a large metal protective cabinet with built-in AC and heater, without a window. First, it houses a fire alarm control panel in extreme-temperature locations. Then, the integrated AC/heater unit holds the interior within the panel’s operating range. As a result, panel reliability is preserved in unconditioned spaces.

First, the cabinet is fabricated from heavy-duty 14-gauge metal. In addition, the finish is a baked-enamel coat for corrosion resistance. Specifically, the unit measures 36 in. H x 24 in. W x 8 in. D. Therefore, larger fire alarm panels fit with airflow clearance.
AC and heater system
First, the AC unit delivers 800 BTU. Then, the heater is rated 150 W. Specifically, the unit runs on 115 VAC, 3.6 A, 60 Hz. Furthermore, the AC/heater cycles while a fan runs continuously to maintain a uniform interior temperature.
Mounting and listings
First, a mounting plate ships with the cabinet. In addition, two 1/4-turn latches deter unauthorized entry. The cabinet carries a NEMA Type 4 rating and is UL Listed and CE marked. Also, the AC/heater unit is UL/cUL Listed and CE marked. Therefore, this enclosure is suited to outdoor or harsh-environment installs where Type 4 protection is required.
