The STI STI-1225 is a clear polycarbonate Stopper Dome that protects flush-mounted strobes. It guards against accidental impact and deliberate vandalism without blocking the strobe from view. Therefore, it is a standard safeguard in gyms, corridors, and other high-traffic spaces.
How the STI STI-1225 protects strobes
The dome is molded from tough, UV-stabilized polycarbonate. First, it absorbs impacts that would crack a strobe lens. Then it still allows full visibility of the alarm signal. In addition, the dome removes easily for service access to the device beneath.

Application notes
Use this dome over strobe-only notification appliances. However, horn/speaker/strobe combinations need the STI-1215 version instead. Also, surface-mounted devices require a back box model such as the STI-1227 or STI-1229. Finally, verify the derating factor against your required candela before installation.
