The STI STI-1285 is a steel backplate for the STI-9705 and STI-9708 Horn/Strobe/Speaker Damage Stopper guards. It provides the mounting surface those wire guards need over a standard electrical box. Therefore, it completes a 9705/9708 guard installation on 4-inch square boxes.
How the STI STI-1285 is used
STI’s 9705 and 9708 guards are heavy steel wire cages. They protect System Sensor SpectrAlert Advance series notification appliances from impact and vandalism. However, the guard itself needs a proper backplate at the wall. As a result, STI supplies the STI-1285 for 4-inch square electrical box installations.
