The STI STI-8130 is a clear Smoke Detector Damage Stopper® with a stackable 2 in conduit spacer. The spacer adapts the flush-style cover to surface-mounted smoke detectors. As a result, detectors on exposed conduit get the same heavy protection as flush units.
STI molds the cover and spacer from durable polycarbonate rated -40°F to 120°F (-40°C to 49°C). However, servicing stays simple — the cover removes easily for detector cleaning and maintenance. Also, the detector’s LED remains clearly visible through the clear cover.

Specifications
The cover measures 8.25 in (210 mm) across and 3.75 in (95 mm) deep. Then the spacer adds 2 in (51 mm) of depth for surface-mount clearance. Spacers are stackable when extra depth is required.

For flush-mounted detectors, choose the STI-8100 series instead. In addition, SUB-82 tamper-resistant screws fit this model. Finally, the STI-8170 backplate is recommended for drop ceilings and other unstable surfaces.
