The STI STI-8200-SS is a stainless steel Smoke Detector Damage Stopper® for flush-mount installations. Its heavy-duty 1.2 mm cover protects smoke detectors from vandalism and accidental damage. In addition, a matrix of perforations lets smoke reach the detector freely.
STI constructs this cover from 304 corrosion-resistant stainless steel. That grade is considered surgical or medical-grade stainless. Therefore, it excels in hygienic environments such as food processing plants, commercial kitchens, and restaurants. Correctional facilities also rely on it where detector abuse is severe.
