The STI STI-9713 is a flush-mount Steel Web Stopper® for photoelectric smoke detectors. This wire guard helps prevent vandalism, misuse, and accidental damage. However, the open web never blocks smoke from reaching the detector.
STI based the patented web design (D368,670) on a spider’s web. Specifically, a web-like octagon of 9-gauge coated steel wire makes the cage extremely difficult to break.
