The Vesda VP-EC is a pipe end cap for VESDA aspirating smoke detection systems. Each pack contains 25 caps.
Specifically, the end cap closes off the far end of a VESDA sampling pipe run. As a result, the detector pulls air only through the engineered sampling holes — not through an open pipe end.
Why End Caps Matter in a VESDA System
A VESDA aspirating detector relies on calibrated airflow through the sampling pipe. Therefore, an unsealed pipe end would short-circuit the design airflow and degrade sensitivity.
In addition, a proper end cap keeps debris and pests out of the pipe network. As a result, the detector stays in spec longer between service visits.
