The Gentex WGEC24-75WR is an outdoor horn/strobe with a fixed 75 candela strobe. First and foremost, it is built for exterior fire alarm applications. The unit ships with the GOE outdoor enclosure made of Lexan®. As a result, it provides reliable visible and audible signaling in harsh weather.
Specifically, the WGEC24-75WR operates on 24 VDC nominal. In addition, the strobe meets the ADA candela requirement of 75 cd. The horn supports multiple field-selectable tones. These include 2400 Hz, mechanical, chime, and whoop. Furthermore, you can choose continuous or temporal 3 patterns through the on-board switches.

Field-Selectable Features
The professional installer can change tone and pattern in the field. Specifically, the switches select between high and low dBA output. In addition, they select among 2400 Hz, mechanical, chime, and whoop tones. As a result, one SKU covers many job specs.
For synchronized installations, use the Gentex AVSM Control Module. However, the WGEC24-75WR is not recommended on coded or pulsing signaling circuits.
Installation Features
The Super-Slide® mounting bracket lets the installer prewire and test supervision. Then, the signal head locks in place without exposed screws. Also, the Checkmate® feature allows voltage verification without removing the device. The included GOE Lexan® enclosure has drainage holes; however, the seal is not fully watertight.
