The Potter Electric Signal WR SignaLink Wireless Repeater extends the range of a Potter SignaLink Bridge system. It operates on a fully supervised 2.4 GHz wireless link.
First, the repeater receives signals from SignaLink transmitters. Then it retransmits them toward the receiver. As a result, a WR can bridge buildings, courtyards, or RF dead zones. In addition, the device is fully supervised by the receiver, so any failure reports as a trouble at the panel.
Potter Electric Signal WR Key Features
- 2.4 GHz fully supervised wireless repeater for SignaLink Bridge systems
- Up to 800 ft device-to-device range under typical conditions
- Integrated antenna in a weather and UV-resistant polycarbonate enclosure
- Powered by one 3.6 V D-size Lithium Thionyl battery, by fire-panel auxiliary power, or by a UL 864 / UL 1481 24 VDC supply with battery backup
- UL 864 10th edition and ULC S527 Listed
Power Options
The WR ships with three documented power paths. First, a single 3.6 V D-size Lithium Thionyl battery powers the repeater on its own. Second, the auxiliary power output of a fire alarm panel can drive it. Third, a UL 864 or UL 1481 24 VDC supply with battery backup is supported.
Where the WR Fits
The WR sits between a SignaLink transmitter (such as the WTX-M) and the WRX-R receiver. Therefore, it is the right answer when the straight-line path between transmitter and receiver exceeds the 800 ft device-to-device limit or passes through significant RF attenuation.
