Ditek (DTK-2MHLP36B) 36v, 2 pair, hybrid field replaceable suppression module

The Ditek DTK-2MHLP36B is a 36 V hybrid, field-replaceable surge suppression module. It protects two signal pairs on 36 V low-voltage data and signaling circuits. Furthermore, it is sold as the module only. Therefore, a separate Ditek Snap-Track base is required.

First, the DTK-2MHLP36B uses a multi-stage hybrid SAD + GDT topology. As a result, it clamps fast transients at the gas-discharge front end and the SAD back end together. In addition, the module fails by shorting to ground when compromised. Therefore, troubleshooting is straightforward in the field.
