The Vesda OSI-10 is an open-area smoke imaging detection imager. Specifically, it uses a camera-like sensor to watch a coded light beam. First, a paired emitter sends infrared and ultraviolet light. Then, the OSI-10 imager detects smoke that dims that light.
This imager has a narrow 7-degree field of view. As a result, it suits long, narrow spaces. In addition, the OSI-10 supports a single emitter, such as the OSE-SPW.
Why choose the Vesda OSI-10
OSID uses two light frequencies to confirm real smoke. Therefore, it separates smoke from dust, steam, and insects. Furthermore, this approach reduces false alarms in open areas. Also, OSID covers spaces that point detectors find difficult.
Key features
- Open-area smoke imaging detection (OSID) imager
- Narrow 7-degree field of view
- Supports one emitter (OSE-SP-01 or OSE-SPW)
- Dual infrared and ultraviolet light detection
