The Edwards 101STR-G1 is a strobe light module for the 101 Series AdaptaLight stackable beacon platform. First, it is an industrial signaling component — not a fire alarm strobe. Specifically, it stacks with other 101 light modules on a common base to build multi-color status indicators. Therefore, it serves process, machine status, and area-alert applications rather than NFPA 72 emergency notification.

What the Edwards 101STR-G1 is

This is one module in a stackable beacon system. As a result, you combine it with other 101 modules — steady, flashing, LED, halogen, incandescent — on a single base to assemble a custom signal stack. In addition, up to five light modules can mount per stack. Then a cap or audible module finishes the assembly.

What this module is NOT

However, the 101STR-G1 is not a fire alarm strobe. Therefore, it carries no UL 1971 listing and does not meet NFPA 72 emergency notification requirements. Furthermore, it is not addressable and does not interface with fire alarm control panels through SLC loops. Specifically, it runs from a standard 24 VDC supply, controlled by an external relay or panel output.

Compatibility

The 101STR-G1 mounts in any standard 101 AdaptaLight stack. In addition, it pairs with bases such as the 101XBRM with cap, the 105BX surface outlet box, the 105BM wall mount bracket, or the 105PM pipe mount.
