The Simplex 2081-9046 is a 2 A coil supervisory module for fire alarm suppression release circuits. First, it supervises the actuator coil circuit for opens and shorts. As a result, the host releasing panel maintains continuous integrity monitoring of the release output.
Specifically, this module sits between the panel and the release solenoid or actuator coil. In addition, it provides controlled actuation on alarm while reporting trouble for circuit faults. The 2 A rating supports the inrush and holding current of typical agent release, deluge, or preaction valve solenoids.
Where the Simplex 2081-9046 fits
The 2081-9046 works with Simplex releasing-capable platforms. For example, it is used with the 4004R suppression releasing panel and the 4100ES with release-rated software.
