The Edwards 3-TAMP is the side-mount tamper switch for 3-CAB7, 3-CAB14, and 3-CAB21 EST3 cabinets. First, it mounts to the inside wall of the cabinet enclosure. Then, when the outer door opens, the switch changes state and the EST3 panel reports a supervisory event.
Per LSC product fitment, the 3-TAMP also pairs with the BPS6A, BPS10A, APS6A, and APS10A standalone power supply enclosures. However, the 3-CAB5 lobby enclosure requires the 3-TAMP5 instead, and 3-RCC remote closet cabinets require the 3-TAMPRCC.

What this part is NOT
The 3-TAMP does not fit 3-CAB5 (use 3-TAMP5). Furthermore, it does not fit 3-RCC remote closet cabinets (use 3-TAMPRCC). Therefore, confirm the host cabinet before ordering — the three tamper switches share a part-family root but are not interchangeable.
Listings
The 3-TAMP is a passive mechanical switch. As a result, it carries no standalone agency listing on its own. However, it becomes part of the UL 864-listed EST3 system once installed in a listed cabinet and wired to a listed input module for supervision.
