Edwards (30755) Stratos-nano replacement filter

The Edwards 30755 is a replacement filter for the Stratos-Nano aspirating smoke detector. It traps dust and other airborne particulate before the air sample reaches the detector chamber. As a result, the detector chamber stays clean and the unit reports accurate smoke levels for longer.

Aspirating smoke detectors actively pull room air through a sampling pipe network. Therefore, dust and debris that would simply pass by a passive ceiling detector accumulate at the Stratos inlet. The 30755 filter is the consumable that intercepts this material.

Why Replace the Filter on Schedule

A clogged or fouled filter reduces airflow into the chamber. As a result, the detector may report fault or reduced sensitivity. In addition, dust that bypasses an exhausted filter can contaminate the optical chamber itself — a much more expensive service event. Therefore, regular filter replacement is the cheapest way to keep a Stratos-Nano in service.
