The Simplex 4005-9803 is a 2-IDC / 2-NAC/Relay card for Simplex 4005 series panels.
Simplex also catalogs this card as part number 565-552. First, it adds two Initiating Device Circuits (IDC) for detection inputs. Then it provides two circuits that you configure as notification or relay outputs.
Simplex 4005-9803 circuit configuration
Each output relay mounts in one of two positions. Specifically, the NAC position sets a Class B notification appliance circuit. Alternatively, the AUX position sets an auxiliary relay circuit. In addition, each output circuit is protected by a 3 A fuse.
As a result, the 4005-9803 expands both input and output capacity on 4005 panels. Therefore, it suits installers servicing legacy 4005 fire alarm systems.
