The Simplex 4100-1266 is an Expansion Signal (XSIG) card for 4100ES and 4100U panels.
It expands a panel’s notification appliance circuit capacity. First, the card plugs onto the Power Distribution Interface (PDI). The PDI then supplies card power and the 4100 Comm connection. As a result, the XSIG operates as a 4100 Comm slave device.
Simplex 4100-1266 NAC rating
Each XSIG output is rated 1.5 A, 50 W, or 100 speakers maximum. In addition, a source NAC drives the card with the signal to repeat. However, that source NAC is always wired Class B. This holds true even when it is configured as Class A.
