The Genesis 43111104 is a 16 AWG, 2-conductor solid power-limited fire alarm riser cable from Southwire’s Genesis® line. It carries the triple-rated FPLR, CL3R, and CMR listings. As a result, installers gain flexibility for fire alarm, Class 3, and communications use. The cable ships in a 1000-foot REELEX pull box with a red PVC jacket.

The construction features bare copper solid conductors with polypropylene insulation. In addition, the heavier 16 AWG gauge reduces voltage drop on long NAC runs. Installation Notes for Genesis 43111104
First, 16 AWG carries more current than 18 AWG. Therefore, this gauge is common on notification appliance circuits with multiple horns or strobes. Then, the FPLR rating allows vertical riser installation per NEC Article 760. However, this cable is NOT plenum-rated. As a result, do not install it in air-handling spaces per NEC 300.22(C).
