The Edwards 6261-001 is an 8-inch air sampling inlet tube. It plugs into the air inlet of the Edwards EST SIGA-DH duct detector housing. The 8-inch length is the shortest tube in the 6261 family.
This tube collects air from inside the duct and channels it past the detector head. As a result, the smoke detector inside the SIGA-DH housing can sample the airstream without sitting in the duct itself. Therefore, service techs can reach the detector for testing and cleaning without working inside the duct.

How the 6261 Family Lengths Work
The 6261 inlet tubes come in fixed lengths. For example, 6261-001 = 8 in (200 mm), 6261-002 = 24 in (600 mm), 6261-003 = 42 in (1060 mm), 6261-006 = 78 in (1980 mm), and 6261-010 = 120 in (3048 mm). Therefore, match the tube length to the inside width of the duct being sampled. As a result, the tube extends roughly the full width of the duct, with the inlet holes facing the airflow.
Compatibility
The 6261-001 fits the Edwards EST SIGA-DH housing. In addition, it works with compatible Signature Series detectors mounted in that housing — including the SIGA-PS photoelectric, the SIGA-PHS multisensor, and the SIGA-IPHS intelligent multisensor.
Status Note — Discontinued With No Direct Replacement
The 6261-001 is marked discontinued by Edwards with no direct drop-in replacement. As a result, supply is limited to remaining stock. For active SIGA-DH installations, the SIGA-SD sampling tube family or current Edwards duct detector kits may be the right forward-fit path.
