The Notifier APS2-6RE is the 220-240 VAC version of the APS2-6R auxiliary power supply. Specifically, it delivers 6.0 A of 24 VDC filtered output for international and 220 V Notifier installations. As a result, the APS2-6RE mounts in the same chassis positions as the AVPS-24 it replaces.
What the Notifier APS2-6RE provides
The APS2-6RE is a 150-watt switching auxiliary power supply. However, the continuous rated output is 4.0 A; the 6.0 A figure is total available capacity. In addition, the supply splits power across two power-limited output circuits plus one non-power-limited rail.
First, output circuit 1 (TB2-1, TB2-2) supplies 3.0 A at 24 VDC, power-limited. Then, output circuit 2 (TB2-3, TB2-4) supplies another 3.0 A at 24 VDC, power-limited. Also, J9 provides the full 6.0 A (4.0 A continuous) non-power-limited.
Supervision and reporting
The APS2-6RE reports AC fail over the SLC through onboard relay contacts. Furthermore, the AC fail indication is configurable. Specifically, jumpers JP2 and JP3 select immediate (default), 1-2 hour, or 2-3 hour delay.
The battery supervision circuit uses a 32 VAC, 10.0 A fast-acting automotive minifuse (F2). Therefore, field service can replace it with a common automotive fuse.
