The Mircom CS-MIR-0-0 is a 125 kHz clamshell proximity card for the Mircom TX3 access-control system. First, the card measures 2.125″ × 3.37″. Then it carries a standard 26-bit Wiegand format. As a result, it works with TX3 entry/exit readers out of the box.
Mircom CS-MIR-0-0 format details
The 26-bit format includes a facility code of 0-255 and a card number of 1-65,535. In addition, each card ships with a unique number. Specifically, this supports per-resident or per-employee credentialing. Therefore, the card replaces lost or transferred credentials on a one-for-one basis.
What it is not
The CS-MIR-0-0 is an access-control credential, not a fire-alarm device. However, prior copy framed it under NFPA 72 and UL 268 — those listings do not apply. Furthermore, the card has no battery, no electronics power, and no fire-detection function.
Use cases
Use the card for multi-tenant residential, office, and institutional access. Also, it suits visitor and contractor temporary credentials. For example, the clamshell format accepts a slot punch for lanyard or strap clips.
