The DSC HSM2108 adds eight fully programmable hardwired zones to any PowerSeries Neo security system. It is a Corbus-connected zone input expander for intrusion/burglary panels — not a fire alarm component.
First, the module supports flexible loop wiring. Specifically, it accepts no end-of-line, single end-of-line, or double end-of-line zone loops using 5,600 Ω resistors. In addition, each zone is independently programmable at the panel.
The module reports its own health to the panel. A built-in tamper switch sits in the top left corner of the board. Furthermore, a status LED flashes briefly every 10 seconds when the HSM2108 is operating correctly.

Compatible Panels
The HSM2108 connects to the Corbus on PowerSeries Neo panels HS2016, HS2032, HS2064, and HS2128. Also, the same hardware is supported on PowerSeries Pro panels.
Important Application Note
The HSM2108 is a security/intrusion expander. Therefore, do not install it on a fire alarm SLC or IDC loop. For fire alarm zone expansion, use the panel manufacturer’s listed fire expander instead.
