The DSC PG4936 is a PowerG wireless combination smoke and heat detector. It senses both smoke and high heat in one device.
First, the detector watches for smoke particles. Then it also monitors temperature. As a result, it triggers an alarm when heat reaches 57°C (135°F). When either threshold trips, it sounds an 85 dB buzzer and flashes its LED.
DSC PG4936 Wireless Features
The PG4936 uses encrypted, two-way PowerG wireless communication. Therefore the panel can supervise the device continuously. In addition, a visible link-quality indicator helps installers pick the best location. A back tamper switch reports removal attempts.
This model operates on the 433 MHz PowerG band. Also, a 3 V lithium battery powers it for about 3 years in typical use. It mounts to a wall or ceiling with the included bracket.
