The Ditek DTK-2MB is a two-module Snap-Track-type hardwired mounting base for the Ditek 2MHLP and 2MHTP series of voice, data, and signaling surge suppression modules. It is a mechanical and wiring base — not a stand-alone protection device.
The DTK-2MB holds up to two 2MHLP or 2MHTP modules at a single termination point. Therefore, one base lets an installer protect two circuit pairs from a common ground.
First, straight-in / straight-out terminal connections simplify field wiring. As a result, installation time drops significantly compared with discrete protectors. In addition, a single-point ground simplifies bonding. Furthermore, the modules above the base are hot-swappable — replace a damaged module without disturbing the field wiring.

Typical Applications
First, fire alarm SLC, IDC, and NAC loops at the panel. In addition, access-control reader loops and door-position loops. Also, intrusion-detection signaling pairs and 4–20 mA process loops. Furthermore, low-voltage communications circuits in general — anywhere a 2MHLP module is specified.
Important Application Note
The DTK-2MB is a passive mounting base. It does not by itself carry agency listings as a surge protector. The agency listings (UL 497B, etc.) belong to the installed 2MHLP / 2MHTP modules. Therefore, do not specify the DTK-2MB on a submittal as the listed SPD — list the module(s) by part number, with the DTK-2MB as the mounting base.
