Edwards EST (SIGA-SB) Smoke Detector Mounting Base

The Edwards SIGA-SB is the standard mounting base for Edwards Signature Series intelligent detectors. Specifically, it connects the detector head to the signaling line circuit (SLC). In addition, it carries wiring terminals for an optional remote alarm LED (SIGA-LED).

This base ships in white, high-impact engineering polymer. As a result, it fits in clean with most ceiling finishes and is durable enough for commercial and institutional use.

How the Edwards SIGA-SB Connects to Your System

First, the SIGA-SB mounts to a compatible electrical box on the ceiling or wall. Then, the technician wires the SLC IN and SLC OUT terminals — each wire is broken at the terminal, not looped. As a result, the system supervises every wire run end-to-end.

Next, a Signature Series detector head plugs into the base by aligning and twisting clockwise. The address label goes on the inside rim of the base. Furthermore, an optional SIGA-TS trim skirt covers the surrounding box for a finished appearance.
