EDWARDS (IO64G) Facp, 1 Loop, 64 Intelligent Devices Max

The Edwards IO64G is an iO Series intelligent Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) for small to mid-sized buildings. First, it supports one Signature Series device loop addressing up to 64 intelligent devices. In addition, it provides two Class B Notification Appliance Circuits at 2.5 A each. The “G” suffix specifies a gray door without an integrated dialer.

This panel is well-suited for retrofits because all connections use standard wiring. Therefore, no shielded cable is required. As a result, existing wire from a legacy panel can typically be reused without rewiring the building.

Edwards IO64G capacity and architecture

First, the single Signature Series loop supports any mix of intelligent detectors, modules, and sounder bases, up to 64 device addresses. Furthermore, Signature electronic addressing eliminates dipswitches and uses automatic device mapping. As a result, each device automatically resides at its correct location during commissioning. Class A loop wiring is optional via the SA-CLA card.

Notification appliance circuits

The panel ships with two Class B NACs at 2.5 A each. Then, each circuit can be individually configured for continuous, temporal, synchronized, latching, or coded output. In addition, the NACs support Genesis horn silence over two wires plus UL 1971-compliant strobe synchronization. Furthermore, Class A NAC wiring is available when the SA-CLA card is installed.

Programming

Basic zone and point settings are accessible via the front panel. For advanced correlation groups and full system configuration, connect a PC running the iO-CU software via the RS-232 port (SA-232 card) or the optional Ethernet port (SA-ETH card). As a result, the panel can be uploaded, downloaded, and diagnosed from a laptop or over the network.
