The Eaton EL3RHN-NR is a Wheelock Eluxa outdoor fire alarm horn. It is rated NEMA 3R / IP54 and ships with the EL3R mounting plate. The housing is red, the lettering is blank, and the audible operates on 24 VDC.
First, the appliance protects against rain, sleet, and ice in outdoor or wet locations. Then, it delivers a penetrating horn tone for fire alarm notification on the same circuit as your indoor Eluxa devices. As a result, you can extend a single notification appliance circuit (NAC) from inside the building to a covered loading dock, a parking deck, or an exterior stairwell.
Eaton EL3RHN-NR Sound Output and Power
The horn produces 88 dBA at 10 ft on the high setting. Alternatively, the standard setting drops the level to 83 dBA at 10 ft. Both ratings reference the anechoic measurement at 24 VDC.
The appliance accepts 16 to 33 VDC or VFWR on the 24 V circuit. In addition, it also supports 12 VDC systems for legacy retrofits. Current draw is 52 mA on high and 38 mA on standard at 24 VDC.

The EL3RHN-NR carries UL 464 and cUL listings for fire protective signaling service. Therefore, it works with any standard fire alarm control panel that supplies a supervised 24 VDC NAC. Also, it is listed as compatible with Wheelock RSS and Exceder LED3 strobe-based products in the same field of view.
