The Eaton ELCHWC is a Wheelock Eluxa solid-state chime. It is a ceiling-mount appliance with a white housing and 24 VDC operation. The “C” suffix denotes ceiling mount; the “W” denotes white.
First, the chime produces a soft tonal alert designed for quiet occupancies. Then, the installer chooses one of four modes during commissioning: 1 Hz, 2 Hz, Coded, or Temporal 3 (T3). As a result, one part number covers multiple alert profiles.
Eaton ELCHWC Applications
Chimes are common in places where a standard horn would be disruptive. For example, hospitals, libraries, museums, and corporate boardrooms often spec chimes for patient zones and quiet areas. Therefore, the ELCHWC fits institutional ceilings that need a discreet white profile. However, a strobe is still required for visual notification — the ELCHWC has audible output only.

Mounting and Compliance
The ELCHWC mounts to standard ceiling backboxes. Specifically, it accepts LSPKBB-C ceiling backboxes or a 4-inch square box with 2-1/8 inch depth. In addition, the Eluxa chime family is UL/ULC listed and RoHS compliant.

For combined audible-plus-strobe coverage in white, choose the ELCHSWC chime-strobe ceiling variant. Also, the wall-mount equivalent of this SKU is the ELCHW. Furthermore, confirm whether your project requires the additional strobe element before specifying this audible-only model.
